Registrations are now closed.

At this point the only way your son/daughter might be allowed to register is if you are willing to coach or volunteer.  We will not continue to take players unless we have enough volunteer coaches.

If you are willing to coach please call (559) 791-8483.

In the next couple of weeks we will be forming teams and then those rosters will be giving to coaches. They will be the ones contacting you so please be patient as we complete this process.

Covid-19 Spring/Fall League Update

Posted by Web Admin On June - 19 - 2020 Comments Off on Covid-19 Spring/Fall League Update Subscribe here

First and foremost we would like to apologize for the lateness in our update. Just like all of you we’ve been paying close attention to our state, county and local health agencies as they come out with new COVID-19 guidelines and regulations, in order to see if and when we can resume offering our youth soccer league. As the State of California begins to open up again there begins to become some clarity and now we are able to give you a better outlook on how we are going to proceed with all the players who were registered for the 2020 Spring Season and all new players who are wanting to register for the 2020 Fall Season.

Effective 6/18/2020

As per City of Porterville restricted usage of the Porterville Sports Complex there will no longer be a Summer Season which we were hoping to take the place of our Spring Season if state, county and local health regulations allowed it. In place of the Spring/Summer Season, all players registered for the Spring will be automatically registered to participate in our 2020 Fall season. Any new player who wishes to register for the Fall season will be combined with all our Spring league registered players.

Any player registered for the 2020 Spring season will not have to register or pay any fees to participate in our Fall Season as you will automatically be registered for the Fall Season.

If any player who was registered for the 2020 Spring Season decides not to participate in the upcoming Fall Season, please contact us as soon as possible at ‪(559) 791-8483‬.

Refunds will be given once we have clarification on returning players and new players registering.  At this moment we do not have an exact amount but we will keep you posted and hope to issue refunds before the start of the fall season.

Again thank you for your understanding and patience! Stay safe!

Spring season suspended until further notice

Posted by Web Admin On March - 12 - 2020 Comments Off on Spring season suspended until further notice Subscribe here

After reviewing the updated guidance from the State of California, and the Tulare County public health department regarding COVID-19, and reaching out to our local civic leaders, the Porterville Soccer League will be suspending all schedules games and activities until further notice, effective immediately.

With this being an evolving situation, we will continue to consult and monitor the public health department guidance and plan accordingly to still be able to play all scheduled Spring league games . We will be meeting over the next week on various contingency plans for the 2020 Spring Season, including options for rescheduling and playing all already scheduled league games.

Further details will be communicated to you on our website so please make sure you check this website periodically.

Thank you,

Porterville Soccer League Administration

Coronavirus Notice for March 11

Posted by Web Admin On March - 12 - 2020 Comments Off on Coronavirus Notice for March 11 Subscribe here

With the recent cases of the COVID-19 virus in California, we wish to communicate to all players, coaches & families about best practices to protect everyone at soccer events.

We encourage everyone to follow the recommended guidelines from the California Department of Public Health to protect themselves and those around them from any virus including respiratory viruses like COVID-19. To help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, please follow these important tips:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, like in this video from the CDC. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • All adults and children should stay home when sick. Share this video with your children and loved ones to teach them to cover coughs or sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Individuals with chronic health issues and/or individuals experiencing severe symptoms should be evaluated by a medical professional.
  • California Department of Public Health does not recommend the use of face masks for general prevention and says that hand-washing provides better protection from infectious diseases.

At this time, our league games will continue as scheduled. We will continue to monitor the situation, and update if there are any changes to this plan. In addition to the CDC & California Department of Public Health recommendations, please see the recommendations below for league games & practices in order for us all to protect ourselves and those around us.

  • Players or parents feeling ill should not attend league soccer matches or practices
  • No handshakes, high fives, fist pumps, chest bumps, huddles, group celebrations, etc.
  • No post-game handshakes between players and coaches – teams should continue to show good sportsmanship by clapping or cheering for the opposition team
  • Drinks bottles should NOT be shared
  • If you bring food or drinks to games, please ensure that you discard of any items yourself
  • All players & teams are advised to carry & use hand sanitizer

Thank you,

Porterville League Soccer Administration
